John Ewer, Ph.D.
John is a full professor at Centro Interdisciplinario de Neurociencia de Valparaíso (CINV) at Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Valparaíso, Valparaíso, Chile. He completed his Ph.D at Brandeis University, Waltham, MA and was an Associate Professor at Cornell University. His research is focused on the regulation of Drosophila behavior by neuropeptides and the circadian clock. He is also the Director of the graduate program in Neuroscience at Universidad de Valparaíso.
Jimena Sierralta, Ph.D.
Jimena is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de Chile, Santiago, Chile. She completed her Ph.D in Biological Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her research is focused in understanding how synapses are formed, maintained and modified along the life spam of an organism. Her lab used Drosophila melanogaster as an animal model. She is also a Principal Investigator at the Milenium Biomedical Neuroscience Institute.
